As a small rare disease charity, our team is constantly learning, evolving and taking on new, additional responsibilities. Over the last couple of months, the Beacon team has undergone a number of changes. As our staff continue to flourish, we’d like to take a moment to recognise their achievements.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Formally known as our Head of Operations, Mary Rose (or MayRo as we like to call her) has become our new Chief Operating Officer!
Mary Rose will continue to oversee the strategy, development and delivery of Beacon’s patient group training and community building projects. She heads up our Projects Team and plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the charity.

Senior Corporate Fundraiser
Formally known as our Fundraising Manager, Laura has transitioned roles to become our Senior Corporate Fundraiser!
Laura thoroughly enjoys working with people and developing relationships. She brings over 12 years of experience in the charity sector to her role, and specialises in building corporate partnerships and collaborations.

Senior Projects Officer
Formally known as our Projects Coordinator, Philippa (or Phil as we like to call her) has become our Senior Projects Officer!
Philippa loves seeing projects come together from idea to delivery and witnessing the impact they have on the rare community. She prides herself on her ability to work adeptly and competently on a range of different projects and really enjoys being able to work with different people and build new connections.
