The Student Voice Prize is an annual, international essay competition that’s focused on raising the profile of rare disease within the medical field, particularly with trainee doctors, nurses and scientists who may never have considered working in rare disease.
Findacure and Medics4RareDiseases host the competition together and the winner gets published in The Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases based off his or her answers to three themed essay questions.

Once again, we’re offering patient groups the chance to partner with a student entering the competition. If successful, a student will be paired with your patient group in an effort to gain a first-hand account of what it’s like to be a rare disease patient and to live with your group’s specific condition. The student will then use your personal patient account to help him or her answer one of the three essay questions.
If you’d like to learn more about The Patient Group Pairing Scheme and/or be potentially paired with a student, please fill out our Patient Participation Form!
The Student Voice Prize essay competition launches 5th October!
