Beacon is delighted to announce a new masterclass series: Creating impactful videos from your smartphone
We are excited to announce that we are running a brand new Masterclass series!
As video content becomes more popular and impactful across social media and communications, understanding how to utilise video easily as a medium can have an impact without breaking the bank or taking up too much time.
Patient group representatives who are confident in creating videos to communicate their mission are in with a better chance of getting their message to a wider audience.
However, we understand that for some individuals, especially those who are new to it, getting to grips with making videos and getting them out there may not come naturally. The aim of this masterclass is to equip patient group representatives who want to improve their skills with basic but efficient ways to create videos that match the tone and message of their organisations.
The series includes three separate sessions across a four week period where attendees will learn the core skills of creating videos and putting them into the world to reach the right audience. In the third session, attendees will have the opportunity to present their short videos and receive peer and expert feedback.
We will be joined by expert trainers Jack Stevens and Philip Saich from Cookie Cut Media and Postscript who will lead sessions one and three with the middle session being led by Beacon. As the masterclass is being run as a series, attendees will be expected to attend each week as the sessions will build upon the skills learnt in the previous week.
Session one will be led by expert trainers Jack and Philip who will help attendees to:
The session homework will be to use the skills acquired in the session to craft a bespoke video.
This session will be led by Beacon and will focus on showcasing the accessible tools that exist to help you make the most out of your videos as well as some exploring some ideas for fun video content.
The masterclass series will conclude with a final session led by Jack and Philip, where patient group leaders (and resident Beacon staff!) will have a chance to show the videos they have made and get feedback.
During this session, attendees will also learn:
